911 Camera Sharing:
Eagle Eye 911 Camera Sharing works by identifying shared cameras within a radius of approximately 1000 meters from the caller's GPS coordinates during a 911 call. This means that when a 911 call is placed, the emergency communication center (ECC) can access live video from the 10 closest shared cameras within this 1000-meter radius. This setup provides real-time situational awareness to telecommunicators, which can be relayed to first responders during emergencies.”
Key Benefits
Increase Situational Awareness: It provides first responders with real-time visual information, improving their situational awareness during emergencies.
Utilize Existing Cameras: You can use your existing cameras to extract real-time information during an emergency.
Selective and Secure Sharing: Only the cameras you designate are shared, and only during an emergency.
Cost-Effective: You can designate existing cameras for sharing or opt for a low-cost standalone system.
How It Works
Camera Selection: Customers can choose which cameras to share proactively. The emergency communication center (ECC) can access live video from the designated cameras during an emergency.
GPS Integration: The system captures the caller's GPS coordinates and identifies shared cameras within a radius of approximately 100 meters.
Activation: The feature requires activation, which must be coordinated through Eagle Eye Networks.
Privacy and Security
Privacy Concerns: The sharing is tightly controlled by customer preferences, and only designated cameras are shared during emergencies. All access is logged and encrypted.
